Further education for assistant nurses including literacy and self-care training

This is a basic education offer for assistant nurses working in care facilities for the elderly or in-home care. It can be seen as an outreach programme, as the training is provided in situ in care facilities (as opposed to the venues of the education provider, here VHS Göttingen). In the pilot course presented here, participants were employees of several care facilities for the elderly who met for the training in one of of them.

The course used a teaching aid that had been developed by VHS Göttingen the years before.
